My name is Daniel Jorgensen. I am extremely excited, albeit nervous, and very grateful for this opportunity to be the new Assistant Principal for All Saints Catholic School. I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little bit about myself, starting with the most important part of my life: my family.
I have been married to my wife, Jaymie, for 6 years this summer. She is an Occupational Therapist for Northwestern Medicine Home Health in Illinois. Together we have 3 beautiful daughters.Charlotte, my step-daughter, is 11 and in 6th grade. She enjoys art, music and playing fast pitch softball. Evelyn, who is 5, is in kindergarten this fall and loves reading, coloring, and playing with her sisters. Our youngest, Violet, is 2. She loves Paw Patrol and going for walks. As a family, we are excited to have a community based church to raise our children in and look forward to becoming part of the ASCS community and family. This picture is me and my daughters with my grandfather. I credit him for inspiring my love for teaching, as he was a teacher for MPS for over 30 years. I grew up in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin and
was a member of St. Joe’s Catholic Church. I obtained my undergraduate degree in Physical Education/Developmental Adaptive Physical Education from Winona State University in 2003. From there, I worked at Learning Enterprise High School on the north side of Milwaukee for my first 2 years of professional teaching. This school was for students that were kicked out of Milwaukee Public Schools and provided them a last chance at obtaining a high school diploma. In 2005, I was given the opportunity to work at St. John Kanty/Holy Wisdom Academy as the Physical Education teacher. It was at this point in my career that I fell in love with Catholic Schools and the education/values they provide students. After 5 years, I was given the opportunity to become the Athletic Director for the parish. At that point, I decided to apply to
graduate school to better my knowledge and provide greater opportunities for being an Athletic Director. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Administration in 2013 and that summer I transitioned to the Head Principal at St. John Kanty School. I have maintained this position for the past 5 years, before coming to join the All Saints Family.
I look forward to starting my journey at All Saints as well as meeting every one of you and your children.
