Philosophy of Education
Each day we are given the gift to learn something new from each other and together. Children are the most special and important part in the journey of education. I feel blessed to teach children about God and academics. It is my privilege to journey with them and to watch them grow and learn to be like Christ.
Other Interests: I love spending time with my family. I love reading, beading, planting flowers and crocheting.

Week of September 26-30
Unit 3 Spelling words consonant blends: spend, strong, frog, stick, past, spring, scrap, blog, brick, list, drum and smile. Bonus words: three, stripes. Pre-test Thursday and final test on Friday.
Story of the week: Places We Go page 99-end.
Timed math drill practice is plus three. Final test on Friday 36 problems in 3-5 minutes. We are working towards 3.
A Spelling List to study for the spelling test on Fridays. Along with the list, they are given a form for writing the spelling word list each evening.
A Math Fact Pack is sent home on Monday. There are four sheets to complete. It is due on Friday.
Math worksheet on Mondays-Thursdays.
Reading Log- Monthly beginning October-March: Book It! Pizza Hut Coupon- Free personal pizza.
We also encourage you to have your child do the second grade section of IXL.
Any other homework will be listed in their assignment notebook.
