Yesterday we celebrated our 4th Annual Field Day festivities. That day brings so much JOY as we all gather on one campus to honor our 8th graders at Mass and to play together throughout the day. A lot of hard work on behalf of Mrs. Backus, Mr. Stevens, the teachers, staff and volunteers all contribute to the success of the day. Add in good weather and we had a winning combination. We find that each one of these “traditions” gets easier as now in year four we have things down to a system. The routines feel comfortable and lead me to recognize that we have created an ASCS culture that has taken root in what we once called the “new” school. Yes, while it was “new” it was familiar because it inhabits the school buildings that housed St. Mary and Holy Rosary and educated the families from those parishes and from St. Peter and Mt. Carmel/St Therese as well.
