Today our school community took part in our Second Annual Pilgrimage. Our day began with Mass and a special blessing on two of our students who will be baptized at the Easter Vigil! What a blessing it is to belong to a school community that grounds itself in opportunities for prayer, reflection and service. Fr. Bill Hayward offered a special blessing on the children. Next we proceeded to St. Anthony Parish where we gathered for the living rosary. Our journey continued on to Our Lady of Mount Carmel where we sang the Divine Mercy Chaplet. Once we arrived back at school safely (thanks to our Kenosha Police Department) we enjoyed a pizza lunch together. What a glorious day. Tomorrow marks the beginning of our Easter Triduum. I pray that you take time to attend the Holy Week Services at your own church/parish. It is a sacred time of year for us as Christians.
I shall hold you in prayer over the Easter break. We have much to be grateful for at ASCS.
Blessings,
Dr. Jackie Lichter
