Principal Postings:
The view from my office window at both North and South campus allows me to see the children playing at recess. I love to watch them run to the snow to slip, slide and delight in winter! While the rest of us may wish winter passes by quickly, the children appear to love the snowfall and delight in opportunities to play outside. When I am feeling a bit of the winter doldrums I often bring to mind the image of our children all bundled up playing in the snow.
Over the weekend, St. Mary Parish Council President informed me that the St. Mary Daycare/Preschool was closing as of June 1st. Members of the leadership team at the parish met with us to discuss the possibility of ASCS offering childcare/preschool in the current St. Mary Daycare/Preschool building. I met with the School Board last evening and we have decided to move forward with this plan. Therefore, ASCS will now be offering Childcare/Preschool services at all three campuses! With that being said, we are looking to hire a Director for our “Saints In Training” Preschool! This person will be responsible for overseeing all three sites! We are excited to offer a “one stop shop” for our current families who need childcare/preschool for a younger child and to add it as an incentive for recruiting new families. With all of this growth comes questions; therefore, we are hosting an Information Session on March 11th from 6:00-7:00 in Bell Hall. The purpose of this evening is to give our current families an overview of the changes and to answer any questions that you may have about the expansion.
I am also excited to tell you about the new program being offered by vigeoxchange. Vigeoxchange is known to most of you as the Sponsor Zone Exchange program. We each were given cards to show at local business to earn tuition dollars. The new program name is Vigeoxchange and is now available on our Smart phones or simply through the use of a phone number. For those of you with a Smart phone, an app on your home screen makes earning tuition dollars even easier! Most of you should have received an email that walks you through the process of setting up an account. If you didn’t do so, please get it started! The good news for us is that every purchase in which the Vigeoxchange is utilized not only puts dollars in your tuition account but also donates a portion back to the school. To make it even easier to earn tuition dollars, Kenosha News is offering a “special give back” each day of the week. You simply need to scan the QR code listed in the newspaper with your Smart Phone QR scanner (I use Redlaser) and it will reveal the mystery business. You can both accept it and place it into your “my wallet” or decline it. If all of this is a bit overwhelming, we will have representatives available the evening of our Information Session on March 11th to help you. These representatives will also be in the cafeteria from 2:00-4:30 on March 12th. You may also stop in the office for assistance.
Lastly, thank you for the prayers and well wishes for my family as we celebrated my son’s wedding. It truly was a JOYFUL day. The prayers worked!
Blessings,
Dr. Jackie Lichter
