Happy New Year!
I was looking over the list of “things I hoped we would all find time to do over the Christmas holiday” and I am happy to report that I was able to do all 10! The most challenging of course was in bringing peace to a conflict I was experiencing-yet so rewarding to have it behind me. We brought out many board games both new and old, laughed and told many stories. God is good!
- attend Mass
- play board games with your family
- tell stories
- laugh and experience the joy of the season
- renew friendships
- bring peace to a conflict that weighs you down
- mend a broken relationship
- eat cookies
- spend time with an elderly person who is lonely
- celebrate the miracle of the Incarnation
Returning from the break was joyful as well! The children were full of chatter this morning and the hallways were alive with the sounds of the young. Parents were smiling as they dropped the children off for school and I was again reminded of the many ways God is present in my life and in my work.
We received a bit of good news…the Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation sent to us our certificate of membership. It reads:
This is to certify that All Saints Catholic School Kenosha has achieved the high standards of excellence required of all members of the Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation and is fully accredited by the Board of Directors. 2011-2012.
Hats off to everyone that contributed to making that happen!
I hope to see you all at the 10 AM mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel on Sunday, January 8th wearing your ASCS red! This will be our 3rd parish outreach mass.
Blessings & Peace-Dr. Jackie Lichter
