What’s the name of the school, and how was it determined?
The name of our school is All Saints Catholic School. Archbishop Jerome Listecki chose this name. On a basic level, this name embodies all Parishes – and the patron Saints of those Parishes – that are coming together to form this new K-8 school. On a spiritual level, the name implies a desire for everyone associated with the school – whether it’s children, teachers or administration – to answer to God’s call. We are all called to be Saints – in how we pray, how/what we learn, what we believe, and how we live out the Gospels with each other and within the broader world in which we live.

How does the Catholic Identity continue to grow in this school?
According to our Principal, Dr. Jackie Lichter, “All Saints Catholic School is Catholic to its core. The Gospel message of Jesus permeates the entire life of the school. From the moment a child enters the school he/she should feel the living presence of Christ Jesus. As a Catholic school principal, who espouses the beliefs of the Catholic Church, I recognize that I have received a ministerial call to share the faith with joy, enthusiasm and hope. The principal and teachers of a Catholic school are also called to work in partnership with the parents they serve knowing that it is the parents who are the first and primary teachers in a child’s life.
“I echo and am committed to what the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (2005) called for in Renewing our Commitment to Catholic Elementary and Secondary Schools in Third Millennium: ‘all Catholics must join together to ensure that Catholic schools have administrators and teachers who are prepared to provide an exceptional educational experience for young people-one that is truly Catholic and of the highest academic quality.’ (“Introduction”, para 1).
“Excellence in Catholic education is derived from a solid Catholic Identity.”
How do you integrate the Catholic faith in the learning experience?
Sacramental prayer life is the foundation of our school. Beyond this, our hope is to help children learn how to develop a friendship with Christ and see the world through his eyes – with love. We do this by constantly looking for ways to integrate the teachings of Christ into our academic teachings – whether it’s in math, science, reading or other. Our desire is that children will grow in all five dimensions of their being: Spiritual, Emotional, Physical, Social and Academic.
